Grand Energy Saver Program

Save Money and Energy as a Grand County Local

Living in Grand County comes with incredible mountain views, but it also brings chilly winters and high energy bills. To help our community stay warm and save money, we at Devil’s Thumb Ranch are incredibly proud to support the new Grand Energy Saver Program. This initiative directly aligns with our deep commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainability. Through this collaboration, eligible primary residents can get up to an extra $150 off home energy assessments ($150 for propane households and $100 for electric-only). You can also receive “Quick Fixes” like water heater blankets, LEDs, pipe wrap, or weather stripping, plus up to $4,000 towards major home weatherization upgrades.

Do You Qualify? Check your Job or Income

This program is built specifically to support the people who keep our mountain communities running, and qualifying is simple. You are eligible if your household income is under 150% of the area’s median income, or if you work in a qualifying job. Eligible roles include childcare staff, essential workers, firefighters, police, first responders, ski patrol, front-line lodging staff, local government or nonprofit employees, veterans, restaurant or retail staff, teachers, and school district employees. Residents living in live-in workforce housing or deed-restricted homes also automatically qualify.

Sustainability at the Ranch

As stewards of our 6,500 pristine acres, we constantly push the boundaries of green hospitality to preserve this landscape for the next generation. Across the property, we utilize ground-source geothermal energy and building automated systems for hyper-efficient heating and cooling, paired exclusively with LED lighting. From constructing our buildings with local beetle-kill pine and landslide stone to serving our own sustainably raised, grass-fed beef, we weave eco-friendly choices into every layer of our operations.

Partnering for a Greener Community

At Devil’s Thumb Ranch, our shared mission is to advance energy efficiency and protect the beautiful environment we all call home. Through this exciting collaboration, we are helping provide vital energy assessments, education, and resources not just for the Ranch itself, but for our dedicated employees, valued guests, and the broader Grand County community. Funding is limited and only available while it lasts, so sign up, secure your savings, and help us build a greener community today!
