Wildflower season in the Rockies is truly something special. Bring new appreciation to your mountain adventures as you notice colorful wildflower varieties along the way. Join our expert guide Stacy on a trail hike to learn about the Grand County wildflowers blooming in our neck of the woods throughout June and July.
About Your Guide
“Stacy has an extreme passion for wildlife & outdoor activities. She has a Bachelors of Science in Wildlife Biology & Management from Michigan State University. Previously, she has held job positions studying pollinators and identifying what wildflowers attracted them (specifically native Bumble Bees in previously burned wildfire areas in mountainous regions of California). In 2018, she went through an intensive 3 month adventure guide training & internship program through Pure Exploration New Zealand. She passed her boards through the New Zealand Outdoor Instructors Association (NZOIA) for Bush/Hiking & Rock Climbing Leader and guided for a spell in New Zealand. She loves to meet new people, talk about nature and hike!”
You can also find her at the spa instructing yoga, or at the pond for our stand-up paddle board yoga. Previously, you may have seen her at the stables as a wrangler. She has been with Devil’s Thumb Ranch since March 2020.
