Get your skis waxed, find a buddy, and get ready to have some fun!
Join us for for the inaugural 12K skiathlon in honor of Bill Chambers—a long time Grand County resident who loved Nordic skiing and our mountain community. The skiathlon will consist of both classic and skate skiing. The event can be completed by one person, or a two-person team relay (all male, all female or co-ed). The first leg of the course is to be completed on classic skis, and the second leg on skate skis. There will be a transition area in between. The total distance is approximately 12K.
The race fee is $55.00 per person, $110 per team, which includes the entry fee, as well as a meal following the race at the Broad Axe Barn. Lunch will include a vegetarian chili and Devil’s Thumb Ranch’s Signature Wagyu chili with a beer.
Prizes will be awarded as follows:

9 AM | Skiathlon Mass Start
11 AM-2 PM | Food/beer and Award ceremony at the Broad Axe Barn (#4 on property map)
