Our priority is to groom as many trails as possible with snowcats, but depending on conditions, we may use snowmobiles to groom some areas.

Snowshoe and fat bike-specific trails will be groomed as needed.

In the event of heavy snow accumulation, large wind drifts, or other potential weather events, we will focus on Zone 1 (Central) and then move to normal grooming operations as weather clears. Snow accumulation throughout the day can cause trails to disappear shortly after grooming, so access from the base to Zone A is a grooming priority to ensure ease of access from the trails to the base.

Normal grooming operations occur around 4AM – 12PM, allowing for cleanup of heavily used trails and setup for use the next day. Depending on wind and snow forecasts, we may move grooming earlier or later to accommodate expected trail usage and snow/drifts. Call the Nordic Center (970-726-8231) for the most up-to-date information.

Weather permitting, grooming will begin at 5:00pm until finished.
Closing day for the Nordic trails is April 10, 2022.
