Wine Spectator Awards of Excellence

Continuing to make its mark as one of Colorado’s most notable dining destinations and a first for any restaurant in Grand County, Devil’s Thumb Ranch’s Ranch House Restaurant & Saloon and Heck’s were both recently honored with new 2010 Wine Spectator Awards of Excellence.

Ranch House Restaurant and Heck’s join 104 other distinguished restaurants throughout Colorado for comprehensive and in-depth wine lists.  Ranch House Restaurant and Heck’s wine lists were noted for their particular strength in California wines and moderate pricing.

The Award of Excellence is bestowed upon restaurants whose lists offer a well-chosen selection of quality producers, along with a thematic match to the menu in both price and style. Typically, these lists offer at least 100 selections.  This year’s awards are noted in Wine Spectator’s August issue.
