Winter 2009/2010 Stables Daily Lineup 9:00am-10:00am: Morning Feed Sleigh Ride This sleigh ride is designed for the wanna-be cowboy. Guests have the opportunity to feed breakfast to our herd and end at our campfire for hot drinks, muffins, and a story or two. $30/person. 11:00am-11:30am: 1/2 Hour Sleigh Ride This sleigh ride is especially good for families with young children or for guests who don't love the cold weather. $25/person; minimums apply. 12:00pm-1:00pm: Open Request Sleigh Ride Got your own idea for a fun sleigh ride? Go ahead and give us a try. We love the challenge of meeting your special request. Prices vary; minimums apply. 1:30pm-2:30pm: One Hour Sleigh Ride This sleigh ride goes above and beyond the standard with a warm-up campfire and some sweet treats like smores and hot chocolate. $35/person; minimums apply. 3:00pm-4:00pm: Afternoon Feed Sleigh Ride This sleigh ride will mingle through our herd while everyone has a chance to help with the feeding. After feeding and riding, the sleigh will stop by the campfire for smores and hot chocolate. What a way to wrap up the day! $35/person. Pony Rides: Small fries can enjoy a half hour pony ride along one of our snow-packed trails. $35/child; children ages 3-8 only. Ride to the Restaurant: Use the horse-drawn sleigh as your means of transportation from one of our cabins to Ranch House Restaurant or Heck's Tavern for dinner. This ride is a great option for guests who are not staying with us but want to enjoy a short sleigh ride before or after dinner. Ride is approximately 40 minutes. $50/person; minimums apply. New This Season at the Stables... Dinner Sleigh Rides: This is your opportunity to enjoy the old west and a ranch style meal to top off the night. Go for a sleigh ride and on your return to the stables enjoy a great western meal and treats around the campfire. Feel free to share your dinner suggestions...we might just surprise you. Rides depart daily; times flexible. $70/person; $400 minimum. DTR Driver's Ed: Try your hand at driving one of our big draft teams! This will be an hour and a half instructional sleigh ride, and before you return to the stables- you will be in the captain's seat. This is a one on one personal experience. $200/person. However, you can bring along all your friends to help or to laugh for $25/person. Relax & Ride: Be on the lookout for details on what could be the most romantic gift you ever gave your valentine- a sleigh ride & spa treatment- in a combination even cupid could appreciate. Details to come! Going Green Ride: Celebrate St. Patrick's Day by sleigh! Bring your buddies along on this 40 minute sleigh ride that includes a pit stop by the bar at Heck's Tavern. If the pit stop is never long enough- take your drink to go for the sleigh ride home. $80/person.
Cabin Creek Stables activities are booked by reservation only, and can be made by calling the Stables at 970-726-7000 or through our concierge. Your special requests are always welcome at the Stables. We are very flexible with requests while always abiding by the policies and guidelines we established to ensure the safety of our guests, horses, and staff. All reservations are subject to our 48 hour cancellation policy; minimums and maximums may apply. All rides are weather dependent, but very seldom are cancelled. A 20% gratuity will be added to all groups of 6 people or more. Giddyup!
