New Lodge is OPEN!
The Lodge at Devil's Thumb Ranch promises to be one of the most spectacular yet comfortable getaways in the Rocky Mountains.
Though brand-new, the structure fits into the surrounding landscape as if it had been there for decades. Likewise, the furnishings, appointments and interior are reminiscient of a National Park lodge building from our country's history.
Special care was taken in each step of the Lodge's construction to use local or reused materials whenever possible. The attention to detail is astounding - creating a warm, inviting and particularly western space that visitors will immediately feel welcome in and cherish.
The Lodge at Devil's Thumb Ranch has 52 rooms of varying sizes - from cozy queen rooms to multi-room suites. Views of the Continental Divide, Ranch Creek Valley and the wide open spaces of Grand County surround the structure. A three-story, six-sided fireplace is the hub of the building, created entirely from stones found at a nearby rockslide. Much of the interior trim finish wood is reclaimed beetle kill pine.
Beds are topped with featherbeds and thick down comforters. Many rooms have fireplaces, and all have hand-chosen antiques and artwork.
The Lodge will features a brand-new casual restaurant, "Heck's" which will open to guests and public for breakfast, lunch and dinner in late January. In addition, there will be a bistro/snack bar, a theater room, game room and even a miniature bowling alley for guests' enjoyment.
The Lodge at Devil's Thumb Ranch is destined to become a special place for family getaways and an unparalleled treat for company meetings and corporate retreats.
